Name: Tatiana Rostislavna Volkova
Age: 15
Gender: Female
Birthday: September 12
Student Type: Talent
Talent: Ballet Dancer
Year: 1
Faceclaim:
Darjeeling - Girls und Panzer
Personality:
Tatiana is a young woman who at first, second, or even third glance seems devoid and detached from life and emotion. However, her internal monologue is vibrant and flavorful, a stark contrast from what she portrays. This is because she chooses to mask her thoughts and bottle her feelings. Though bottling her emotions like this does lead to an explosive array of fury if, for some reason, she has been made blind with madness (whether this mean insanity or rage is entirely upon the situation). In this sense, you could compare her to a can of soda that has been shaken. The carbonated beverage bubbling inside the resilient aluminum exterior, spewing out once it has been opened. However she is fearful of this spewing of passions, and will come to a level of shame and regret soon after the flames have settled.
She is a polite, modest woman, and may even be what some people call a “prude”. She firmly believes that people (especially children) should be “seen and not heard” and that loyalty is a requirement, two qualities that have been instilled into her brain from what seems like from birth. Stemming from this loyalty, she is faithful, and will never attempt to bring another being down. Perhaps this arises from her fear of disappointment and rejection, which could also be the reason for many of her actions.
This being said, on the fourth glace, she shows a hint of personality. She smiles at jokes or stories she finds funny (Mainly stories from family members, though the occasional bad pun can work as well). Her eyes brighten with the first snow of the year. When she gets nervous, her knees tremble just a little and a small line of sweat glistens on her hairline. And maybe, just maybe, if she is comfortable enough to where she can freely laugh without remorse, she will.
Country of origin: Russia
Background:
Tatiana was raised in an upper-middle class household in the suburbs of Moscow. She is the oldest of 3 other siblings, 2 female and the new baby boy. Her parents, a deputy for the State Duma and a stay-at-home mother, took great care in instilling her with the English Language and values that they both believed to be vital for a woman, such as keeping quiet and loyalty to one’s family and state. Needless to say, it worked.
Her interest in ballet came from a performance she witnessed while on vacation to St. Petersburg to see extended family. There, she became entranced by the motions and emotions of the dancers and swore to become one of them. Her passion was supported merely as a hobby by her parents, who recognized that creativity needs to be released one way or another. This was until she performed her first dance. By then, her parents noticed her aptitude and enlisted her with a professional tutor.
Her fame as a teenage dancer grew like an empire. She landed solo after solo in several productions, executing each with renowned precision unlike any other dancer. With her skills (as well as connections to the Russian politics), she was invited to a special showing for a group of government officials, including the Prime Minister and a talent scout for Hope’s Peak Academy. Showcasing her abilities, she mastered spin after spin, leap after leap and fouetté after fouetté, making sure to land each and every move flawlessly.
Her parents supported Tatiana’s decision to enroll in Hope’s Peak, believing that seeing the world will help her grow into the powerful woman that they will be proud of.
