OOC: Welcome, one and all, to the... FIRST CLASS TRIAL! Here we go girls and boys. Remember, act cool, and follow a clear posting order... And you shall NOT be punished if you got the voting wrong, puhuhuhuuu.
IC: The class bell suddenly rang as a special announcement echoed trough the halls. "Ding, Dong, Ding. Students, students, those interested in our new logic class, please head to the first floor and enter the classroom 1-B.
Once some students do just so, you encounter the sight of the headmaster, along with chairs that seem to be connected to a large device, almost like a computer. "Alright then. Welcome to logic class, students... And please, sit down, sit down. Put on your VR helmets, and prepare for... An class trial! Don't worry, I will explain it all once you put those on!"
Once you do so, you are suddenly transported to a circular room with around sixteen seats around you. In the middle is a throne like seat where a... White and black bear is standing, one side pleasant looking and one looking rather hostile. "Upupupu... Heya, suckers! Let me introduce myself. I am... Monokuma! Your special guidance visual judge for this class trials!"
"Now then, let me quickly explain the class trial rules. You all will be given alibis and knowledge of the murder, along with beginning proof and some tools, such as the ability to scan the crime scene ONCE more, and a fingerprint researcher. You must try and find the murderer as soon as you can. But if you vote the wrong person... No rewaaaaard." The bear let out a laugh.
"Alright then, I shall prevent you now with the story and the alibis."
"You all were in the classroom 1-A when the murder occurred. You all suddenly went unconscious while in the classroom with the victim... The headmaster! When you all woke up, the headmaster was dead, rather brutally killed by multiple kitchen knives being struck trough his body. Right before this class you all had a mandatory health check with the nurse."
"The room is like any other classroom. Air refreshment units spreading good air everywhere, upupu, desks, chairs... Good places to hide a lot of thiings." He coughed for a moment, laughing still. "Your beginning proof shall be... "
"Strange feeling in the classroom!" - "Kitchen knives!" - "Visit to the nurse!" - "Handprints on the kitchen knives!"
"Feel free to pursuit any of these, or use any of your tools! Good luck!"
OOC: You have 24 hours from now to enter this class trial. If the murderer does not show up, someone else shall be asked to become one and given the details in a PM. Good luck and have fun! Remember the posting order.

The idea of new logic based classes had interested Osamu but like many he lacked the details of exactly what the class entailed. It was however a chance to show off his intelligence to the other students. How could he pass up something like this? Too often people assumed that just because someone studied the arts it meant that they had no grasp of other disciplines. The young Director was keen on proving otherwise to whoever might be there today. Once he arrived in the room he took the chance to seize up the competition before putting on his helmet, he was intent on being the first person to solve the Logic Problem. The group seemed a weird bunch but that was the norm for Hope's Peak Academy, it was filled with strange students with odd and sometimes pointless talents. He slipped on the VR helmet and drifted off into the artificial world that it helped to create. Such a fascinating piece of equipment... Osamu really should look into making a film for it.
As he awoke in the crime scene he had to restrain a gasp upon seeing the Headmaster's body with so many knives stuck into it. This almost felt like he'd walked into some student's sick fantasy or like he'd stumbled across the end result of a snuff film. Either way it wasn't pleasant and things just got more nonsensical the moment the bear appeared to explain the concept of a class trial to him. This was supposed to be a 'Logic' class? Well, there was no use complaining about it now. They were in the middle of a murder investigation and the killer might be hiding amongst them all.
Osamu set to work right away checking over his student handbook and the evidence they had already collected in more detail before continuing his investigation of the class room. Once that was done he checked the time to see how long the group had supposedly been out for. The timeframe for however long they were out may give them a clearer indication of when the Killer had offed the headmaster. From there he moved over to the Principle’s body to look over the knives and get a fingerprint reading off them. This piece of evidence could have easily been faked but it was still important to see whose fingerprints were actually on them so he knew were everyone would start. From there he searched the body to find any other clues which might have been hidden on the corpse by the weapons. After this he looked up at the person called Monokuma and asked.
"Are we getting an autopsy report for the corpse? Will we be allowed to examine the Nurse's office due to its potential connection to the case?" His voice was cool, trying to hide any of the shaking emotion he felt at handling what looked and felt like a corpse.
If he had the chance he would investigate the desks to see if there was anything hidden in them that could be related to the case. If anything looked important he would take it out so that the class could investigate it further with their tools. He'd also want to check the vents as well to see if there was a device or system involved which could have been responsible for the entire class passing out. Before getting down he would also do a fingerprint scan of this area to see if any of the students had tampered with the vent whilst they were all unconscious.

(OOC: I shall stick my head in whenever the students have questions, but otherwise I shall stay silent! Once more, have fun and remember a posting order.)
"Oh, auto? You want a car?" Monokuma tilted his head for a moment before letting out his signature laugh. "He got stabbed to death, stuuuu-pid. Time was around 12:15, shortly after you got knocked out."
"And oh, no need. This artificial space is locked to only display the court room AND the murder scene, but..." Monokuma quickly put on a nurses gown and some lipstick. "Nurse Killgood here! Oh, um. Well, everyone had a health check, and after I checked, someone had stolen some medicine... I just don't remember what kind!"
(OOC: Just as a sidenote, you can only post once in a "round". The participants are decided on who manage to enter the trial in the first 24 hours from it being started. After that, you shall follow the order of people who entered. A goes first, then B, then C, then A again. Geddit, stupidos?)

Class trials were never his cup of tea, but nonetheless there was a murder happening. The headmaster had apparently been murdered by kitchen knives. While a murder was never seen in his country or at least where he lived, he really did have excitement for it. Not only will he get to see a real body, but also the potential killer who could've done the crime. As he awoke, he found himself in a strange classroom where it had a courtroom-like appearance complete with one throne-like seat for...a strange black and white bear calling himself, Monokuma. A boy with glasses was there too, talking with the bear and he seemed to not be familiar to Arthur, at least if they didn't meet before.
Hmm. It might be a good idea to ask a question first before assuming anything or trying to investigate the crime scene for clues. For starters, he should ask about something that might pertain to the case. "Would we be allowed to examine the school's kitchen? I'm assuming the kitchen knives might've come from there." The bear might answer with a good deal of information or not. It all came down to how the bear answered.

Monokuma let out a rather toothy grin... Or wait, he always had one! "Upupu... I guess I can reveal it, but these knives... These knives have the handprints of the ultimate cook, Arthur Geissler!"
The bear collapsed into laughter.

Eh. The logic classes WERE for everyone, and it wasn't like he had any other bullshit to handle, so he made his way trough the reserve building and into the talents building. He ignored the dirty and annoyed looks as he pushed trough into the classroom, ignoring everyone else as he just plonked on the fuckin' helmet. His eyes rolled as he waited for the thing to load, before suddenly blinking at the visual image of the murder that was presented in front of him. He did feel like gagging. Never seen a real fuckin' corpse this up close. Hrh.
He then cracked his knuckles, staring between the dickhead he knew and the dickhead he didn't know. Both went on with their own research and shit, asking the shit ass weird bear questions from time to time. He shook his head, tapping his chin for a moment before then nodding to himself. "Psh, that shit already proves a lot. I'm preventing y'all THIS truth."
He pointed his finger to Arthur. "Blue eyes there, being the shithead he was, probably managed to steal some sleeping powder or shit from the nurse. He then came here before all of us, placing something into the air vents so that he could spread that shit at a certain time."
He rubbed his chin. "He then probably covered his mouth and nose when the time hit, and when everyone was sleeping, he took out a portable knife kit or someshit and used it to go all fuckin' Psycho on us."
He frowned. His theory didn't have any holes in them, really. "The fingerprints on those knives proves this shit. Fuckin' blue eyes..."

Post by Daniel Saotome on Dec 12, 2014 19:55:26 GMT
Daniel was intrigued by the idea of a class trial, so he made his way towards the Logic Classes. After having arrived there, he saw two unknown faces and his drinking buddy from the Ikoroshia bar.
Without saying a word, he put on his helmet when finally he was greeted by the monochromatic bear and the corpse of the headmaster. He intently listened to how the class trial worked and how that 'Arthur Geissler' person seemed to be the killer from the proof presented. Daniel wasn't quite sure about that and began to speak.
"I think it would be too easy to put the blame on Arthur for now. Remember, we all were out cold when the murder happened. Who's to say that the real killer couldn't have planted the fingerprints on the knives while we were unconscious?"
Daniel then decided to make use of one of his tools and scan all the desks and chairs for clues. Maybe he would find the missing medicine, or something else that was helpful?

[CLICK CLACK! You hear that, locked goes the thread! Sorry for the people who couldn't get to it in time.]
"Upupupu, I can say that no fingerpints were planted! All prints somehow relate to the murder!"
The desk and chair scan goes as one would except. Nothing really important there, just some earplugs in one desk. Shouldn't be that important.
"But yesyesyesyes, those knives were DEFINITELY in the hands of our dear cook around the time of the murder!"

Post by Osamu Gushiken on Dec 13, 2014 14:26:58 GMT
Osamu continued his search of the classroom while the others talked amongst themselves. Their conversation was mildly interesting however he didn't feel like getting involved just yet. He was still busy examining things. He had come back to the body after investigating the air vent with his tools in the hopes of discovering a few more clues. Slowly he began removing the knives from the corpse and setting them on the ground to check each of them in turn. He was looking for any way to remove/replace the handles or if the blades could be slipped out. From there he would move on to checking each of the wounds separately, searching for any signs of different weapons being used on the victim. Once this was over he would check the pockets of the Headmaster and then turn over the corpse to see if any of the injuries went through or if there was any hidden wounds on the back.
Finally when this was completed he would clean off his hands of any virtual blood and stand back up. He took the chance to consider everything that he'd learned before turning back to the other students with narrowing eyes. His arms folded in front of his chest as he considered each of them suspiciously. Currently the evidence mostly appeared to point to the Ultimate Cook but Osamu doubted that the crime would be this simple for a logic class. Osamu took the chance to sigh and rol his eyes dramatically at Yamato
"Saotome has a good point. It’s too early and too easy to pin this crime on Geissler. I rather doubt a killer would be stupid enough to leave his fingerprints on a weapon and also to use a weapon which easily links to him. This leads onto my second point..." He motions over the set of knives on the ground.
"These are Kitchen knives and he is the Ultimate Cook. It is not surprisingly to find his fingerprints covering them when he so frequently works with them. So why would the killer use weapons which could be so easily associated with them? It would be like me using a camera as a murder device..." He then turned back to look Yamato dead in the eye and would hold that eye contact for a moment longer than was comfortable.
"However Yamato you have made yourself rather suspicious with your unfounded accusations and your strangely specific method of knocking out the class. I do think we should focus on locating the medicine used to knock us out however. If we have that we’ll have a clearer understanding of how it was administered to us all.” Osamu would then turn to Monokuma for some follow up questions.
"Can only the students be convicted of the crime or can we accuse the nurse? Also can you state for the record that these Knives were the weapon that killed the victim and that they weren't stabbed into the body after death. Or can you tell us which of the knives was the fatal injury. I did ask for an autospy report for proper reasons."

"Puhuhu." Monokuma laughed for a moment. "First I'll say that... The knives were the only weapons used to kill the headmaster. Nada, nothing else."
"And yes, ONE OF YOU HERE, is the killer. Also, the killer of a case is determined not by who actually did the killing blow, but by the one who planned it all."
"And oh, it was the first knife that killed him. The one lodged into his throat."

Arthur gave out an exasperated sigh as Yamato began to point his finger at him and blaming him for the crime. It was not like Arthur himself would do it since he never intended to kill anyone, but it seemed as if the ruffian himself had felt some hatred towards him for being talented. Luckily, the guy with glasses seemed to not agree that the argument was not valid enough. Still, he was not out of the hook yet as there was still a killer among them. Someone who could've had a motive to do the crime and yet, there was some evidence pointing to it.
He had to address the young ruffian's argument first before assuming anything. He turned to the young ruffian. "Sir, your argument is rather biased and idiotic. Even if I did have my fingerprints on it, I wouldn't be stupid enough to use it as a murder weapon. Rather if I did use it, I would use it solely and only for cooking. It would be foolish to assume that I was the murderer simply because of your intention to blame me early on the crime. Plus, you did not investigate the crime scene thoroughly." It was clear that the ruffian intended to knock him out early during the trial and yet, Arthur still needed to examine it more carefully...

"So ya two are suggestin' that the knives WITH HIS HANDRPINTS... That are lodged inside the flesh and bone of our headmaster... Does not link him to bein' the killer? The hell are you two on, I want some of that shit. Would make your company so much more tolerable." He let out a frustrated grunt, rolling his eyes openly. God, these people needed to make everything so fuckin' complicated sometimes, eh? He shook his head for a moment. "See, even the fuckin' bear is saying that they were his handprints. Who else could have done it?" He tilted his head.
"Now, blue eyes, ya better shut your fuckin' mouth right now. I can't stand your fuckin' high and mighty bullshit OUTSIDE of this room, and I don't wanna stand it INSIDE this fuckin' room. Now go and shove one of those knives up your arse and confess." He hung his low for a moment, grumbling as he rubbed his forehead.
"Aight, Monokuma. Search the air vent for us. We need to see if blue eyes put some shit in there or not." He was 100% sure there would be something in there that would help his argument tremendously.

"Presto then, mister pottymouth." The bear let out a good laugh before raising his hand, the room shifting once more as the vent became the focus this time. It opened up, revealing a bottle of... Well, some sort of medicine that had been knocked over. The lid had been taken off beforehand.
"There we go, puhuhu."

Daniel wasn't too amazed by the fact that the medicine was found in an air vent. He crossed his arms in front of him and began to think.
"So the medicine must've been some sort of powder, so that we could've breathed it in and knocked us out. That much was obvious, at least to me."
He then looked at Arthur, the suspect, for a short while before continuing to talk.
"No, wait. We were all here when we suddenly fell unconscious, right? And we all had a mandatory check up with the nurse and no one had any problems as far as I know. And when we woke up, the headmaster was dead. And from what we're seeing, Arthur is the most likely suspect because of the fingerprints. But as I mentioned before, that'd be too easy..."
He became silent, as he didn't know what to say further and he didn't want to risk looking like a complete dumbass.

Osamu would scan the medicine bottle with the fingerprint scanner before taking it himself to examine it further. He covered his mouth to be safe and then checked over the medicine's label to get as much detail as he could from the instructions. He wanted to know how much was needed to knock someone out and the exact effects of the drug. So far they had assumed that they had just been rendered unconcious by the concoction but there might have been some other effects to it as well. For example it might have caused people to do things and then forget about them. If he could check without knocking everyone out again he would try and guage how much of the drug was still left. Finally he would turn to Monokuma and hold out the drug again, adding all the details to his list of evidence.
"You said that you'll act at the Nurse and that the only reason you couldn't give us more detail on this was because you couldn't remember what was missing... Well here it is. Tell us every detail on this drug. Explain it so even the Reserve can understand." Osamu said not even turning in Yamoto's direction after he had made the remark. He was more focused on drawing out whatever details he could about this case. It was all well and good suspecting each other but without the evidence it all meant nothing. Building a case was like constructing a script, you needed to build upon the elements already there before you could rush along to the conclusion.
After this he would turn to Arty with his fingerprint scanning device in hand and for a moment he would be silent as though judging everything about the cook. Finally he would seem to decide something and would hold out the device.
"Hold out your arms. I would like to check a few things." If Arty did what he was asked Osamu would scan his sleeves and the back of his hands to see if someone else had been holding onto him at some point recently.
"What Monokuma said before has given me a few theories and either of these methods could have in theory be used for the desired effect. The theory is thus: One student could be used as a weapon or as an extention of the weapon. For example if someone, whilst Gessiler was asleep, grabbed hold of his arms and used him to stab the victim... Or if the drug caused Gessiler to hallucinate well then he may be considered the weapon rather than the killer." He was speaking as though these odd ideas were the most normal things in the world. In a situation you had to run through every possibility until you came to the correct conclusion no matter how impossible or ridicilous it seemed. So far the poor Cook was still being painted as the likely killer but there were a few things that didn't quite add up with the evidence and the way that Monokuma was speaking about the event.

welcome
Bye Bye Despair is an alternate universe version of the Danganronpa universe, the split happening as the big bad of the games is captured before anything can happen. In essence, this is a simple slice of life social RP with some twists and turns, based on the super talented students of the Academy, along with the non-talented reserve course students who got into the Academy simply with money.
Simply put, there will be exams of course where the students will have to attend and the social aspects where students can socialize with one another. There are also classes, but this is purely optional.
Like in the games themselves, there will be class trials, though that part is currently under future development. You can expect to look forward to that soon!
