In the end, Mai had wanted to live in the dorms that were outside the academy. She was not sure on WHY she had been given one of the inside dorms. She needed to be able to look outside! She needed windows! She needed an easy way out so that she could go out and have some cycling fun! But nooo, she had to be locked inside into a dorm room that smelled like old farts. Or well, it actually didn't, but the point she had should come across. She rose up from her bed as she put on her protective cycling gear and her helmet.
She then pushed the door open, staring around for a moment. It was around 21:00. She had one hour before she would have to get back inside. She'd take the fullest of this. She knew the bicycles should be stored outside... She missed her own cycles. They had been so dear to her, especially her first one. Sure, it was too small for her now, but still. She begun her slow sneak towards the exit, keeping her eyes and ears open for anyone. Of course, sneaking for Mai meant running across the hallways towards the exit.

Lili hauled the last of her bags through the door and into the school building. She'd managed to get one of the inside dorms, the best place (she assumed) to get herself acquainted with the students around her.
She opened the door to her room, tossed the duffel toward her bed... and felt the whoosh of air as someone ran behind her. Lili turned to look, and saw a girl heading for the exit at high speed.
Hm? She seems to be in a hurry... maybe she forgot something outside. Maybe I can help her bring it in before curfew! The perfect way to introduce myself as the perfect assistant...
Lili yanked the door to her room shut and took off the other girl.
"Hey, hang on! Did you leave something out there?"

"Ehh?" She quickly jumped and turned around while running, now doing so backwards as she stared at the girl who had come after her. Long blonde hair. Hm, that looked pretty good, actually. She had that refined air of sorts. Or so she guessed, she wasn't that sure. Never been good with one of those refined folks. She was just about to answer before her back slammed against the exit door. She let out a little yelp as she turned around, staring at the door for a moment before then yanking it open and then turning her head to stare at the girl.
"Oh, uh. I'm going to get a 'cycle. Ya know, Bicycle." She spoke in pretty rusty Japanese, but it got the meaning across. She scratched the back of her neck for a moment. "I wanna cycle, ya know? It's why I'm here. And it's kinda... Uh. I need help. Getting the cycles and stuff. Need to open the lock somehow, and uh..." She shrugged a bit, getting bored of the discussion as she then suddenly dashed outside, only to run back inside soon. "Well crappalooni, I didn't find the shed. Such a shame, blech." She sighed.

Lili took a moment to absorb the girl's words.
"Um, I could help find the cycles, but... Is it not close to curfew? I do not think we should break the rules when I have just arrived."
Lili's Japanese was passable, if overly formal, but she could hear something of an accent in the other girl's voice.
"Pardon, but do you speak English? My name is Lili Labelle, I am from France."

"Blech, Rules, Schmules." She shook her head for a moment, jerking her thumb to the clock. 21:10. "I've still got like fifty minutes to cycle before the curfew starts and all that jazz, hah. I'm pretty sure they won't mind if it's only a few minutes past anyways." She shrugged her shoulders, tapping her foot against the ground. "I mean, it's not even that unreasonable and stuff. A few minutes here and there, whatssit gonna do to us? Do they really suspect something could happen to us if we were late for a few minutes? Some perverts would appear or something?"
She seemed pretty dismissive of the idea, herself. But this other girl, she followed rules. Following rules from time to time was cool and all, but if you just chained yourself to them, you'd wither away as some old granny with nothing in their life. She wouldn'--
Oh wait, she spoke some more. She coughed a bit as she then begun to speak in fluent English. "Oh, yeah. I'm from America, although my parents are from good ol' Japan. Mai Hanamura's the name, Ultimate Cyclist is my game. Nice to meet'cha." She smiled brightly, offering her hand to the girl.

Lili curtsied slightly and shook Mai's hand.
"Lovely to meet you, Mai. I happen to be the Ultimate Assistant, so if you're up for it, then I will make absolutely sure you get on your cycle tonight. Just let me get some things from my room."
She gave the girl a wink and whirled back into her room.
Perfect. I'm already helping out... and breaking some rules, but c'est la vie. I'll just need the map... a hairpin for that lock... a hammer? No, too far. That'll do it, then.
Lili practically skipped back down the hall.
"All right, I'm ready when you are. We should get moving, time is short."

She blinked a bit as the girl then suddenly left down the hall and back into her room. Ultimate Assistant? Like, office assistant? Or maybe just assistant in general? Her eyebrow raised slightly as the girl suddenly returned, seemingly with whatever she needed to open up the shed. "Oooookay then. Here we go."
She turned around and opened up the door, sticking her head out the door into the slightly cool wind blowing outside. It was snowing ever so slightly, what with it being almost Christmas. She then begun to (in an overly cartoonish way) sneak towards the shed where the bicycles should be held in.
She then turned her head to Lili, nudging her head to the lock. "Ya just work that lock, I'll keep watch for any of the staff." She nodded, then turning her head back to the main entrance as snow begun to fall and father on top of her helmet.

Lili just nodded and knelt down by the shed door, pulling off her gloves and easing the hairpin into the lock.
"So, I figure you're wondering about my title. My talent is helping people, like what I'm doing now. I can do regular things for myself, no problem, but when I do something to help someone else, well..."
She popped the lock open and swung the shed's door open. She gave Mai a cheerful grin as she tugged her gloves back on and poked her head in.
"I can manage much more impressive things. I barely know how I did that, but there we are. Now, which one is yours?"

"That's... Woah." She was actually really impressed, actually. Getting better when helping other people? "That's really friggin' cool, actually!" She nodded, dashing past Lili after giving her a good pat on the shoulder as she then entered the shed. There was a little clock inside. 21:15. She still had some time. She begun to flip trough the cycles before managing to find hers. It was a rather basic looking one, except for the larger tires and the red flame decorations attached to the handles of the cycle, along with the deep blue color. It was a rather big contrast.
She proceeded to suddenly wheel out of the shed with a loud "YAHOOO!" as she then begun to ride around. She always enjoyed this feeling of freedom she got when she was on top of her cycle. It was like being high on something without actually being high on anything. It was like being high on freedom. Yeah, yeah, god bless America and all that stuff. Whatever. She finished her little ride around with a wheelie as she then hopped off of her cycle, breathing heavily. "That... Was... AWESOME!"

Lili smiled and went inside as Mai took off. She headed into the kitchen and made a couple mugs of hot cocoa, then took them back out to the bike shed as Mai pulled back in.
"Glad you enjoyed yourself. Come back in, I made cocoa."
She took a moment to look over the school grounds as the snow began to cover the ground.
"I think this is going to be a very good start to my schooling here."

Mai let out a little meep as she heard the word cocoa. She then rushed inside... Of course after placing her bike back into the shed. She wouldn't want to have it stolen or something. Not like it mattered, she kinda just stole it back herself. That was weiiird.
She dashed trough the trough snow, not really caring that she was feeling kinda cold. Once she got inside she begun to rush around before finally finding the cocoa as she then begun to drink from it. "Girl, you're AWE-SOME!"

Lili laughed as she sipped her own drink.
"I get that a lot. Unfortunately, I always feel tired after aiding someone... Like now. I cannot even imagine having the amount of energy that you do right now."
She sighed happily and slumped into the nearest chair.
"I'm just glad to help... always helping..."

welcome
Bye Bye Despair is an alternate universe version of the Danganronpa universe, the split happening as the big bad of the games is captured before anything can happen. In essence, this is a simple slice of life social RP with some twists and turns, based on the super talented students of the Academy, along with the non-talented reserve course students who got into the Academy simply with money.
Simply put, there will be exams of course where the students will have to attend and the social aspects where students can socialize with one another. There are also classes, but this is purely optional.
Like in the games themselves, there will be class trials, though that part is currently under future development. You can expect to look forward to that soon!
