Personality: Mai's a girl of high speed action. Ever since she was young she had always had the energy of a firecracker on a sugar rush. The energy she has could tire out even the most diligent person in a matter of minutes, and it's a very big surprise if someone can actually keep up with her for longer then that.
She's a pretty friendly person, all things considered. Always ready to help a friend or stranger in need, and always ready to listen to their woes. That is if they manage to tell it in a few minutes, or she'll already get bored and run off to do whatever. She doesn't do it on purpose, but she just loses interest in things really quick.
Her highly energetic lifestyle and personality can come off as rude to some people however, considering the speed she loses interest in things and the way that she usually does not think about what she says, leading to her possibly saying something insulting to the person she is talking to.
Country of origin: America, but parents were Japanese in origin.
Background: Mai was born in America to two parents of Japanese origin, somewhere around the state of Wyoming. Her youth was filled with staying at the homes of her friends, considering her parents had to leave from time to time for some business trips all around the world. She never paid mind to being left alone, and took the most out of the times her parents did return back home. And even while they were gone, she had a very fun time with her friends.
Her talent bloomed during her early tween years, starting by her parents returning from another trip and bringing her a gift. Her first BMX bike. She fell in love with the cycle instantly, and for the next months she spend countless hours practicing with the bike, usually around some hills near her home. Each time her parents returned they brought her a new bike, be it an ordinary one, a trick one, or another BMX one.
As time went on and she started to grow, she begun to enter all kinds of cycling competitions, be it tricks, BMX, or even some tours. She won most of the ones she had entered, rising in fame as the scouters of Hope's Peak Academy found her, and contacted her parents about entering the prestigious Academy. They accepted and so did Mai, as she then flew to Japan, to meet her new destiny. Hope awaits!
