Case 01: Do headmasters dream of ultimate knifework?

Wait...what?! Yamato had confessed to actually holding the knives AND he had blood on them? It was surreal and yet...Yamato proved to be a very likely suspect from what he actually said. Well, the bloodied bandages were probably the proof that Osamu would need at this rate, but...something was still not right. The ruffian was still not seen committing the crime and yet, Arty was certain that maybe there was a witness who saw him do it. Actually, Arty needed an answer to why Yamato had decided to grip the knives and stab somebody, though Osamu could probably deduce it for now. It was not every day that somebody would try to kill the headmaster of this academy, but he felt like he needed to know something.

He tilted his head to the blonde young man. "If you did grip those kitchen knives and had those deep cuts on your hands...I imagine it must be a crime of passion, but I am not sure. Perhaps it was premeditated... From what I heard from your confession, you must've been impatient to end this trial with another bomb..." From then on, he was no longer afraid of him as this was particularly a serious matter.

[Daniel Saotome]

Daniel couldn't help but shrug after Yamato confessed.

"Well, you all heard the guy. He confessed. And unless someone can somehow prove that Yamato wasn't the only one awake during the murder, or had a witness as you said, Arthur, then I think we can safely say that Yamato both planned and performed the murder."

He sighed.

"So unless anyone has any objections or can prove the existence of a witness, then I'd like to begin the... No, wait."

Daniel wasn't quite sure about something and inquired.

"If there was a witness, then how did he know about the stolen medicine bottle? And if someone did tell him to steal it and perform the murder, then we'd need to figure out who it was. Unless the planner of the murder intentionally let themselves get knocked out by the medicine in order to have an alibi..."

[Oleggosauron]

"I heard someone saying something about beginning?" Monokuma grinned. "I can reveal that yes, Yamato was contacted to perform this murder by our headmaster! Of course, he got his own little prize in the end for participating! ANYWAYS, you all will get something nice too once this ends. Puhuhu!"

As the virtual reality slowly begins to turn off, the system... Suddenly begins to glitch out. Or such, at the very least. Monokuma began to laugh as you could begin to hear the voice of the headmaster.

"Wha... What is this?! The system, it's glitching out! QUICK, GET OUT OF THERE BEFORE THE WHOLE THING OVERLOADS!" As he says that, Monokuma rose from his chair, somehow having pulled out a gavel as he then suddenly slammed down on a big red button.

"Let's give this everything we've got... IT'S... PUNISHMENT TIME!"

YAMATO TATSUMA: EXECUTED

WEIGHT OF INHERITANCE

As the trials keeps glitching, a strange claw like machine suddenly wraps around Yamato's neck, dragging him out of the room. A large screen lights up, showing the other students what is currently happening. Once he is dragged away he gets pushed into a rather large car with two older people, a man and a woman, driving it. They proceed to drive down the road before suddenly crashing against a large truck. Yamato barely manages to strugle out of the car, battered and bloodied, looking around for a moment... Before a large mansion falls on top of him.

You begin to get booted out of the simulation.

Osamu stared down at Yamoto as the other boy revealed how he had gotten the scars and the last piece of the puzzle fell into place rather nicely. The rougher Reserve claimed that he was tired of waiting for the other students to piece together his crime but the Director felt that was off. They were close to revealing the true killer from start to finish and given another minute they likely would have resolved the issue with the blades. Part of him suspected that the other student wanted to feel like he was in control of the situation, he wanted to have one up on the 'talented' and he was willing to reveal his crime to do so. Osamu however was just as vain when you broke it down and was intent to not let it end like this. So, when it came to voting time he reached forward and hovered over the button for Yamoto and smirked whilst he said.

"I see why you only made the reserves. Couldn't work out how to hold a knife or how not to stab yourself. Barely above a cave man... I underestimated you... you're stupidty." He pressed down the button to vote on the killer without much suspicion that anything would go wrong.

"I only wish I'd been given the chance to finish this game... maybe next time." That was the last thing he said to the other student before everything devolved into insanity. This virtual world was glitching, the Headmaster's voice was ringing out and suddenly the bear looked more terrifying than before. There was some sort of Execution going on an Yamoto was the target of it. What the hell?! This couldn't be happening. Osamu, despite his prickish nature, attempted to rush forward and grab the other boy however he was tugged off into the darkness just out of reach.

"No, Stop!" He yelled as the virtual world played out the situation in front of them... he watched in horror unable to do anything and soon he felt himself being removed from the game. Once he was returned to the real world he stumbled out of his chair unable to believe what he had just seen. It was horrifying... that couldn't have happened right? He rushed over to the chair where he had seen the reserve student before in the hopes that the glitch had all been some sort of weird joke. He might not respect or want those students here but that didn't mean he wanted to have a hand in a snuff film. This day had gone from fun to weird... this was not what he signed up for.

The bear revealed that Yamato had been contacted by the headmaster to carry out the murder and then, the bear got terrifyingly serious when he carried out Yamato's punishment. That being, a strange claw-like machine had held Yamato's neck and he was dropped inside a car where a man and a woman crashed into a tree, leaving the blonde young man bloodied and bruised, but not before a mansion dropped on him. Arty gasped in horror as horrific thoughts had formed in his mind, wondering frantically if this was some kind of joke... Then, he was pulled out of the simulation before he could do anything to save Yamato. He was horrified to see...that the blonde man was not here anymore which meant that the guy was possibly...dead.

Without a word, tears streamed down his face...

"Guys, guys..." Daniel sounded flustered as he saw Monokuma punishing Yamato severely.

"This isn't real, is it? We were in a virtual setting, so Yamato died only virtually, right? He's not dead for real, right?"

Despite how he sounded earlier, he wasn't too flustered as people died all the time and a crazy death is still a death. Nevertheless, he continued his charade.

"Just what caused this thing to glitch out like that? I mean, that punishment wasn't supposed to be this severe, or am I mistaken?"

He then looked around and saw Arthur crying while Osamu seemed to not believe his eyes. He then finally shrugged.

"Now this is going to sound cheesy, but there's nothing more we can do for him. Let's keep him in our memories or something. As cold as this sounds, but it's the truth."

For a first classtrial, it ended on a weird note. What Daniel didn't tell the other students was the fact that he was actually fond of the music that seemed to play while Yamato was being executed.

[Yamato Tatsuma]

"WHAT... THE... FUCK!" Yamato suddenly let out a loud yell, screaming as he ripped the helmet away and throwing it against the ground as he stood up, breathing heavily as he stared at the shattered helmet. He was... Alive. Clearly shocked and all around angry, but still alive. He looked around for a moment, his eyebrow stretching as he stared back down to the helmet again. He seemed to be going between anger and shock as he then pointed to the helmet. "FUCK. THAT. I'm not taking part in this shit again, FUCK!"

He then stormed off, fuming and raging.
